Eligible keepers for 2010

Any player drafted in the 9th round or later this year and held the entire year is eligible to be kept for 2010 after paying a 4 round penalty.

The following 4 players are keepers from 2008 and thus can be kept even though in earlier rounds.

(2009 round-2010 round)
Spikings MJD (4-1)

Woody's Warlocks DeAngelo Williams (5-1), Anthony Gonzalez (7-3)

Toks Terminators Greg Olsen (6-2)

Good luck
The Commish

Rosters are up. Set Starters. Remember must always keep at least 2 of everything and 3 RBs and 3 WRs

League rosters are up and ready to go with one exception.
Purveyors of Pain drafted Mike Walker, WR, JAX and he is not on the yahoo list. So I put Javon Walker, WR, OAK.

Once Yahoo puts the other Walker available I will swap them. If someone else wants Javon Walker, email me with your bids.
Speaking of bids.....
All the remaining players are on the waiver wire for the next 3 days....If you want one you should bid some of your $100 budget (play money), remember that $100 is for the entire year. Here is how it will work during the year.
At 1 PM EST on Sunday each week all players not on a roster will be frozen (not available instantly) and go to waivers. Whoever bids the most of their budegt gets the player on Wed at approximately 3 AM EST. After that all players are first come, first serve till they all go back on waivers again on Sunday. The minimum bid is $1.

So Sunday - Tuesday means all unowned players will be placed on waivers at 10:00am PT each Sunday with the claim period ending at 11:59pm PT on Tuesday.

Please put in your starters now so they are there just in case. You must start 1 QB/2 RBs/2 WRs/1 TE/1 Kicker/1 Defense and (New) 1 Flex (either RB/WR or TE).

IMPORTANT: You must always have at least 2 QBs/3RBs/3WRs/2TEs/2 Kickers and 2 Defenses on your team AT ALL TIMES

2009 Keepers

Lakenheath Keepers 2009

Remember you can keep up to a maximum of two players. To be eligible they must have been drafted in the ninth round or later in 2008 or kept from 2007 or earlier which makes them a special keeper. If you keep a player, you pay a four round penalty from his draft position in 2008. If they were kept from a previous year they can continue to be kept until you give up a 1st round pick. The following list shows players eligible to be kept. Players with ** are those kept from 2007 or earlier. The first number in parenthesis is the draft round from 2008, the next number is the draft round you must forfeit to keep that player (9-5) means he was drafted in 9th round and if kept you would not get a 5th round pick this year.

You will need to post your keepers in the MB before the draft (don’t wait until the last few hours as nobody will check the MB right before the draft). If you want a owner that will be present at the live draft to draft for you please inform them of your instructions, rankings, cheat sheets to use and keepers in advance.

Think about whom to keep if any. Keepers are a great way to get an advantage from last years draft.

Lakenheath Fantasy Football League rules

Lakenheath Fantasy Football League rules-10th season Aug-Dec 2009

1) Yahoo league rules with the following additional rules
2) Draft is the last weekend before Labor Day. Usually on Saturday at Noon. Once draft slots have been picked there will be a 15 minute break to set up the draft. There will be a 20-minute break between the 7th and 8th rounds and the Main draft and supplemental draft.
3) Draft slots are drawn at random and the draft is serpentine. Order of who draws ping pong balls is Host, Rookies and then worst team from last year until SB champ
4) Eact team drafts 14 players in the Main draft. Each team roster must have 2 QB, 3 RB, 3 WR, 2 TE, 2 K and 2 Def after the main draft. You must have those exact player amounts but you can draft them in any order. YOU MUST ALWAYS HAVE these minimum amounts at each position for the entire season (including Super Bowl)
5) After the main draft a supplemental draft will be held in which each team can draft 4 additional players from any positions. Draft slots for each round of this draft will be selected seperately from the Main draft.
6) Each team has 60 seconds to pick in rounds 1-8 and 120 seconds in rounds 9 and up. A warning will be given at 15 seconds and 5 seconds. Owners should say their pick and then place the appropiate players sticker on the draft board. Owners should place the sticker on the board but simply calling out his name is good enough to qualify as a pick, he can then place his sticker if no assistant is there to help. If the name is not said before the time expires that pick is missed. The next owner is then given his pick and the “missed” owner gets 10 seconds to pick after that.
7) Starting rosters are 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K 1 Def and 1 Flex (either RB/WR or TE)
8) Owners have until 5 minutes prior to their players game time to submit roster lineup changes. If the internet site is not working correctly the first step is to immediately post a message on the League Yahoo site stating that you want to start XXXX and bench ZZZZZ. This message will get a time stamp and if it is before or at the 5 minute before game time (i.e 12:55 EST if a 1 PM game) then the commish can make that change later for you. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST SECOND TO MAKE YOUR CHANGES.
If the web site is down, email the commish at slamhendricks2002@yahoo.com with the same info and I will make the change as long as the email was sent before the game started. You will have 5 minutes to send an email as last resort. Do not wait til the last minute!
9) Coaches must grant the commissioner access to their rosters for step #8 to occur. Any coach not allowing this will be banned from the league.
10) Prizes are awarded to the team with the highest regular season Total points and each weeks highest total points. Additional prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are also presented. These awards are far less than the “bragging” rights earned and exercised on a daily basis. The SB trophy is known as the “Hendricks” trophy in honor of the leagues first Super Bowl champion and the founding comissioner.
11) All decisions, which require an offical ruling by the commissioner should include discussions with all LFFL owners. The decisioons of the commissioner hiwever are final.
12) NO COLLUSION between teams allowed!
13) Once draft is over all picks are final. Commish will input them into YAHOO league and they will all be on waiver wire initially.
14) Keeper Picks must be declared before the draft order is determined. The order of declaration is the same as order for drawing slots. If you will not attend the draft either post Keepers on MB 24 hours before the draft (so everyone can confirm it) or email commish with intentions.
15) A player is only eligible to be a Keeper if you drafted him in the 8th round or later and held him on your roster continuously for the entire season. You can keep 2 such players but only after paying a 4 round penalty (ex if picked in 10th rd last yr and kept you keep him by forfieting your 6th round pick the next year). Once a player has been kept and paid a 1st round pick to keep he can not be kept in subseqent years.
16) Trade deadline prior to Week 12 games
17) Any adds after trade deadline must be of a player who was not on a roster at the time of the trade deadline. After the trade deadline the YAHOO waiver system will have a commissioner monitored stipulation that Owners can only add players who were available as Free Agents at the trade deadline. If an owner subsequently drafts an eligble player after the trade deadline and holds them for longer than 24 hours that player then becomes inelgible for pickup if dropped.
18) Competition committee will consist of 4 Owners, one of which is the comissioner. Experience in the league is the #1 requirement for selection. They will meet in the offseason to determine any rule changes. The vote must be unanimous to change the rules.
19) Limit league to 14 teams maximum. With 14 teams, 7 make the playoffs and the #1 team gets a 1st round bye.
20) Active scoring will be implemented. This means that any player who scores a TD on a KO or P RTN or INT or fumble recovery ( if playing defense) will get credit for a TD.
21) The waiver wire system will no longer be first come first serve. Instead a Free Agent Aquistition Budget (FAAB) system will be used.
In a Free Agents Acquisition Budgets (FAAB) waivers system, each manager receives a $100 to place blind bids on waived players. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget. If multiple managers place an equal bid on a player, the team with the highest waiver priority (based on reverse of draft order) gets the player.
On Sunday at 1 PM EST all players not on a team will be placed on waivers. None can be added until Tuesday 11:59 PM PST when the waiver request will run based on who bid the most for players. After that time players will be awarded.

Rules clarifications:
If a WR fumbles the ball after a pass then recovers his own fumble for a TD, the QB does NOT get credit for a TD,.
If a K scores a TD on a fake FG. Both the K and the DEF/ST get a TD

Rule changes-

Competition committee met in July and decided on the following rule changes for 2009:

1) Additional starting position called Flex Player which can be either a RB, Wr ot TE. So now 9 starters 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K 1 DEf and 1 Flex (R/W/T)

2) 14 teams in the league versus 16 from last year. 7 Teams make playoffs. Playoffs will be #1 team gets bye in first week and #2-7 play each other

3) Active scoring as in if a player scored a TD on a KO or Punt RTn they get 6 points as well as the Specail Teams

4) Free agency aquistion budget-instead of first come first serve (whoever clicks the mouse first on sunday afternoon gets the new RB replacement) we cannow use a FAAB system where each owner gets $1000 play money to use throughout the year. You blind bid some of your budget to get players on the FA list. The computer awards the player at the end of the week to the team with the highest bid. More later
